Beginnings Wedding Venue- On Sale for a Short Time!

I’m so excited about the latest arrival at Sadie’s Designs Marketplace Store- Beginnings Wedding Venue. This venue is made of mostly black marble, rose marble and is accented with drapes of red, flowers, and fountains. White and red rose petals form the center aisle which is flanked near the altar area with pedestals of red rose bushes and white lilies.

The altar space is round with six columns wrapped in red drapery. The bride and groom area is raised up on two platforms with a lower platform each side for the rest of the wedding party.  Directly behind the altar area is a beautiful two tier fountain topped with red rose bushes and white lily flowers. Two smaller fountains accent the main on the left and right.

The reception area mirrors the marble colors from the altar and is lined with drapes and curtains around the outside to give it an intimate feeling inside. The reception area is accented by more pedestals with red rose and white lily bushes in every corner, with rose pedals on the floor around them. Two fountains are on a raised platform leaving room for the wedding cake, and gift tables. The space is big enough for 6-8 tables depending on the size of the tables.

This venue was created for a special couple who will be using it in their wedding. I will post pictures of the venue from their wedding so everyone can get a feel of the size and beauty of it. I have never built anything this large before with the prim count coming in at 576 prims, but I loved every minute of it and love being able to share it with the rest of the SL world. The set together is 1500L, individually they are for sale at 900L for the Ceremony venue, and 700L for the reception venue. You can also purchase the rose bush and white lily pedestals on MP seperatley as well. It is only 11 prims and can add beauty to any home or celebration!

I hope that this venue brings your special day to life and make it the most beautiful! If you would like different flowers placed or a custom wedding venue of your own- just IM me, Sadieroze, in world for pricing! I will be building other wedding venues soon for marketplace, but until then- it’s time to celebrate!

We just passed the one year mark for Sadie’s Designs being up and running and for the Anniversary Celebration I have decided to do something special. Keep a look out here, on our Facebook page and in the Sadie’s Designs Inworld Group for news!! It’s going to be interesting and so much fun!!!

Romantic Dance Platform

The new release this week is a private dance platform for couples to put out at home. We all reach that time when we don't really want to go out for date night but want to stay home and snuggle up close to those we love. This dance platform offers the chance to add more than just cuddling to your at home date night.

It is a classy style tile floor with stone arches. Between each arch is an angel statue holding vines set on stone moss columns. It looks great in a garden surrounded by trees or out in the open with the night sky and shining stars. It's up to you where to make your magical night happen.

It is copy and modify. The reasons for this are so you don't lose it in your inventory through rez problems or accidents. It is modify because I know that no garden is built the same so I want everyone to be able to re-size it. Kelly and Neo are seen in the product pictures to give you an idea of the size it will be when it is first rezzed..

I really enjoyed making this piece and seeing it come together. I will be releasing many more garden products along with regular designs over the next few weeks. Be sure to also check out the Facebook page for the latest updates and releases.

New Items!

I've released a Simple Garden Gazebo on Marketplace as a precursor to the new garden line of products I am starting. I love decorating outside as well as in, so I decided to make some garden stuff. Most of the pieces I will release will not have cuddle or sit things in them. This is for the simple reason that when I go to cuddle I like to use cuddle poses and rugs that have poses in them I like.

Most of the time when I buy something the poses just aren't what I'm looking for but the product is gorgeous. So I will be letting my customers have stuff that will accent their gardens with the capabilities to use their own favorite pose stuff. For the product pictures my sister and brother- Nic and Aly, pulled out a cuddle rug they love to use to help show the size and space of the gazebo. I want to thank them for posing with this gazebo and looking so cute together!

The gazebo released this week has a light stone floor with stone columns. The vines accent the columns giving it depth and more beauty. It is only 23 prims and is copy modify permissions so that you can re-size it to fit any area you have. I have also included in this piece the 'Our Little Haven" sign as a bonus that is 1 prim and copy only. It is available on Marketplace as a separate piece if you only want the home decor sign.

I will be releasing about one product for the garden decor line every week so keep a lookout here, Facebook, and in the inworld group!

Wonderland Collection

I have been so excited about this release and it took extra time to get it done, I wanted it to be perfect! Lewis Carroll's Wonderland has been an inspiration to artist, movie makers, and imaginations everywhere. Creating a collection of home decor pieces that would fit into any decor was my challenge and it all came together beautifully. From fun pieces to classic looks, you bring a part of Wonderland into your home easily!

The star piece and my personal favorite is 'Six Impossible Things'. One of my favorite parts of the story is when Alice tells herself to count those six impossible things she has discovered in Wonderland. This is represented in a four frame picture. The six impossible things are: 1. A potion that can make you small. This is found in the bottom left corner of the large frame. 2. A cake that can make you grow. You can see the cake on the opposite corner from the potion bottle in the large frame. 3. Animals can talk. I put a famous quote from the Cheshire cat in the middle frame on the right three set. 4. Cats can disappear. If you look closely you can see the cat's tail by the middle frame picture disappearing. 5. There's a place called Wonderland. For this I was a little stumped I admit. How do you put everything that is in Wonderland in one frame or piece? So I took the classic approach and created the top right picture with the large 'W' with 'Down the Rabbit Hole' saying below it. That saying tells you automatically a great adventure and world are on the way and brings to mind all the unique parts of Wonderland. 6. Alice can slay the Jabberwocky. This is shown in the bottom picture which is an artist drawing done in 1871.

The next piece takes a classic turn while still maintaining the fun world of Lewis Carroll. It features an excerpt from the Jabberwocky Poem,
"" 'Twas brillig,
and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogroves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

The Jabberwock,
with eyes aflame,
Jaws that bait and claws that catch,
Beware the Jabberwock, my son,
And the frumious Bandersnatch

He took his vorpal sword in hand
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack
HE left it dead, and with its head
Went galumphing back..."
-The Jabberwock

It is split into a four frame set with the poem taking up three frames and the third is featured with the slaying drawing also found in Six Impossible Things piece. Carroll's play with words always fascinates me and makes my tongue twist! I remember that in an interview about this poem he said that he wasn't even sure what some of the words mean. They have different meanings for different people but it is always agreed that the poem is one of his greatest achievements.

I have also released the entire poem in this piece. For those that want the entire poem hanging in their home it is set in a frame that accents the poem.

The next two pieces are fun and add an adventurous touch your home. The fun disappearing Cheshire cat is featured in this photo with his saying "Every Adventure Requires a First Step". This is the opposite of the Scary Cheshire. It's set in a concrete frame with the purple and blue swirl texture.

The next Cheshire cat adds a scary touch. This scary Cheshire cat is featured in blue with the quote "Every Adventure Requires a First Step". It is set in a concrete frame with the blue diamond texture. I wanted to feature both sides of the Cheshire cat that we all love. He's such a complex cat I couldn't just show one side of him.

Another fun addition to the collection is Late for Tea! Who doesn't remember the fun tea parties and that mad hare? Always made me giggle and I just love him to death so I HAD to add him into this collection. This piece features one of my favorite sayings from Alice in Wonderland. "Your all late for you Tea!" which in the latest movie after the mad hare screams it he throws a tea cup. In this piece the saying along with bunny ears features a tea cup and saucer being thrown out from the picture. It's a fun decoration to have in your home or kid's room.

Finally I decided that the Wonderland logo needed a frame of it's own. It ignites the imagination with that simple phrase and has such a classic look to it. It is set in a dark wood frame with the letters LC as a personal dedication to Lewis Carroll, the genius and creative writer behind everything.

I hope that you enjoy these pieces as much as I had in building them. I've wanted to do this collection ever since I started building in SL and I'm pleased that I am able to bring these pieces into your home! I will be releasing more pieces to add to this collection because just like Alice...I just can't stay away from Wonderland!! Take the shortcut at the top to head to Sadie's Designs on Marketplace and grab your favorites today!!

Whovians Invade!!

This week I've released a line of Dr Who Themed products! I'm a huge sci-fi fan and Whovian. My favorites range all over the place but creating these themed furniture pieces and posters have been my favorite project. What I like most about this line is that I and any other Dr Who fan can show off their love for that crazy Time Lord without having to pay enormous amounts of Linden. Also, it has been difficult for me to find anything to add to my house so I thought- well why not create what I want? That's part of what SL is all about! So let's take a look at the new line of products.

This poster that features the saying "I'm a Fish and Custard Kinda Guy" was inspired by a conversation with a friend about snacks and one of us suddenly blurted out "I want fish and custard!" lol Who can forget that wonderful moment when he first sat down with that little red head finally figuring out what he loved. It's on sale for only 20L on Marketplace.

The Gallifreyan Waterfall has a flowing water texture over Gallifreyan writing that spells 'Dr Who'. It is framed by a blue silver frame with blue marble for the base. It is only 30L on Marketplace for a limited time.

This poster is a great visual and conversational piece. It states
what all of us Whovians secret desires are...to hear that sound (you know...when he leaves the parking break on?). We all know that no matter what is going on in life- if that sound is heard within range of us- we are all ready to jump in on the adventures waiting. 15L on Marketplace now.
This ottoman is dark blue on the lower cushion and light blue above that with the Gallifreyan writing centered on top. It is Mod/Copy so you place any sitting poses you want on it when you place it in your home. It is only 25L!

This poster features the sexy and funny saying "Talk Gallifreyan to me Raggedy Man" with the Dr Who name written in Gallifreyan centered. It is a darker shade in world as you will see on MP- not sure why Blogger decided to make it all bright! lol Individually this poster is listed at 15L and the pillow (found here) is only 20L.

But if you are looking for a Whovian themed furniture set, I have put together the poster above, the Gallifreyan Ottoman, and the Talk to Me pillow for only 69L! All together they only take up 4 prims! For me that's exciting because I love to save on prims but still have the things I want! But then again don't we all??

The last piece in the Whovian Theme is the BW Pillow. Who can forget Bad Wolf? For every Dr Who fan, those two words together will only ever hold one meaning. The pillow is dark blue with 'BW' in white on the background and "Bad Wolf" scrawled across the foreground. This piece is only 20L for a limited time on Marketplace!

I hope that you enjoy these pieces as much as I have, they add great spice and uniqueness to any Whovian home. Just click on the images to see them on Marketplace and purchase your favorite today!! As always if you have any questions or looking for certain personalized pieces just IM me in world!! With all the new releases and products coming out at Sadie's Designs, I encourage you to join the in world group to stay updated and receive the monthly group gifts!!
